Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And other save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. –Jude 1:21-23
In every word she speaks, whether in daily conversation, prayer, teaching or sermon, there is a never ending, never changing theme: LOVE. After experiencing the fullness of being engulfed in the love of a merciful God, Apostle Verliria Olive lives her life mirroring that same love towards everyone she encounters and encourages that same Christ-like attitude to those she pastors.
Apostle Verliria Oliver is the founder and senior pastor of Royal Family Covenant Ministries, Inc., a multiracial, non-denominational church and founder of Operation Rescue, Inc., a human resource agency located in Houston, TX.
Apostle Oliver first gave her life to Christ at the age of 13. But when death took her father, anger and grief seemed to separate her from God. Then in 1990 when death came seeking her husband, Apostle Oliver turned once again to God, the creator and sustainer of life. In her prayer for her husband, she made a covenant with God that if He would keep her husband she would serve Him and never look back. She received God’s answer the very next day. God has kept her husband in good health and she has kept her hands to the plough.
Apostle Oliver was ordained in the ministry through Scarlet Thread Ministries by Pastor Anne Vincent. She was later commissioned as Apostle by Pastor Milton Green St. of the House of the Lord Church. Under the mandate of God to heal the brokenhearted and proclaim liberty to the captives, Apostle Oliver began to hold bible study classes in her home in 2002 and by March 2003 Royal Family Covenant Ministries was incorporated. The ministry seeks to accomplish this mission through Spirit led Sunday services, life giving bible studies and loving outreach programs.
Following the examples of Christ Jesus, Apostle Oliver was moved to compassion – love in action – to reach out to the hurting and lost masses. In 2006, Operation Rescue, Inc. was birthed out of love for God’s people. Operation Rescue, Inc. caters to the physical, emotional and material needs of people in a crisis.
Through both Spirit-filled and God ordained entities, Apostle Oliver believes that as a result of God’s love, the lost can be won, the backslider returned, the wounded healed, the captive freed, the poor restored and the enemy defeated.
Apostle Oliver has been the loving wife of one highly favored husband, Marvin Oliver, Sr. for 32 years. They are the proud and devoted parents of three children, Marvin Jr., Kendrick, and Vermeille. They are the blessed grandparents of five beautiful grandchildren, Carrington, Makaiya, Taylor, Isaiah, and Madison.
Apostle Oliver enjoys spending her leisure time with family and friends,
traveling, reading and listening to music. She has a special appreciation
for jazz and classical music. In her words, “There is such movement,
creativity and special love expressed through this music.” It appears
that Apostle Oliver sees music the same way she sees God.
